Although your race fuel is important, it's what you eat day-to-day that will give you that competitive edge. Good fuel can make the difference in how you feel, how you train, and how you compete. Learn how to use the foods that you enjoy and other foods to help you meet your nutritional goals. You will record you food, fluid intake, and log your activity. Your personal history plus your age, height, weight, and other measurements will be used to estimate your need for, protein, fat, carbohydrate and energy. You will also learn you body composition of lean body tissue, hydration level, percent body fat and basal metabolic rate. Using the data, you will receive a nutritional summary to help you time your meals and snacks for optimal workouts and performance. It will also include any recommendation on deficiencies such as iron, zinc, or other vitamins and minerals. It will be individualized for your sport and training schedule.

Sports nutrition can:

Programs are provided for student athletes and adults interested in competitive edge through nutrition. Services are provided for individual assessment and consultion, group screenings and group talks.

Sport Teams
In addition to counseling individual athletes Sally Brown consults with sport teams to create a comprehensive nutrtition program that meets the needs of the individual sport. Team classes, nutritional traveling plans, pre-competition and post-competition, and other educational material is available. Sally works with youth clubs, student athletes, and adult groups.
